Success Story: Dr. Romayne Gallagher on Palliative Care
“Palliative care is a growing field, but it remains difficult to find a lot of evidence on how to effectively manage patients' symptoms,” says Dr. Romayne Gallagher. She is the Physician Program Director for Providence Health Care’s Residential Program, Program Director for Palliative Care, and an active clinician.
Conference Update: Rural Health Workforce Symposium
e-HLbc was proud to sponsor the Rural Health Workforce Symposium and to showcase our partnerships and databases during the three-day event, held in Prince George. The Symposium brought together 85 educators, health care practitioners and government representatives to share information, discuss the health needs of rural communities, and explore strategies for collaboration and action.
Member Profile: Yukon Health and Social Services
Priya Chetty was thrilled when she learned that e-HLbc was opening its doors to affiliate members outside the province of British Columbia. “We didn’t have access to the evidence-based information that encourages best practices,” says Chetty, Mentorship Coordinator for Yukon Health and Social Services (YHSS). “Our staff struggled to access resources however we could.”
